About AI Studio

Clariti AI Studio is an invite-only, 1:1 session designed for local government teams to understand how AI can be applied within community development workflows.

The focus is on practical application across:

  • Plan intake and completeness checks
  • Code compliance validation
  • Plan review workflows

It is not a general AI discussion or a standard product demo. It is a guided walkthrough of how AI fits into real permitting processes.

AI Studio is designed for cities and agencies that are actively exploring how to incorporate AI into their permitting process.

Typical participants include:

  • Planning and building leadership
  • Permit reviewers and plan examiners
  • Teams responsible for intake and application processing

Participation is prioritized for agencies that have identified AI as a near-term focus.

AI Studio focuses on how AI is applied within existing permitting workflows, not as a separate tool or generic interface.

It emphasizes:

  • Structured application within intake and review processes
  • Supporting staff decision-making, not replacing it
  • Reducing rework caused by incomplete or inconsistent submissions

The goal is to provide a clear view of how AI works in practice, not just what it can do in theory.

No.

While elements of the Clariti solution (including CivCheck) may be used to illustrate how AI works, the session is not structured as a product demo.

The focus is on workflow application and understanding how AI supports the process.

No. AI Studio is offered at no cost.

Sessions & Process

AI Studio follows a simple, structured flow:

  1. Submit a request through the AI Studio page
  2. Clariti reviews the request based on fit and availability
  3. A session is scheduled with a Clariti subject matter expert

Each session is conducted 1:1 and tailored to the participant's current workflow.

Participation is based on:

  • Whether the agency is actively exploring AI in permitting
  • Alignment with the use cases covered in AI Studio
  • Current capacity to run sessions

Not all requests may be scheduled immediately due to limited availability.

Each session is 45–60 minutes and led by a Clariti subject matter expert (Neha, Julia, or Dheekshita, with additional SMEs involved as needed).

The session includes:

  • A walkthrough of how AI applies to plan intake, compliance checks, and review
  • Discussion of common points of delay, such as incomplete submissions and repeat review cycles
  • A demonstration of how AI can be applied within these workflows using real scenarios

The goal is to provide a clear, practical understanding of where AI fits and how it can be used.

No preparation is required.

Participants have the option to share a sample plan in advance or after the session. This is encouraged, as it allows for a more relevant and concrete walkthrough of how AI applies to their specific environment.

After the Session

There is no required next step.

Depending on interest and fit, participants may choose to:

  • Schedule a follow-up session to review how AI performs on a shared plan
  • Explore a deeper walkthrough of how the approach applies to their workflows

Any follow-up is based on participant interest.

Participants should leave with:

  • A clear understanding of where AI fits in their current workflow
  • Specific areas where delays and rework can be reduced
  • A practical view of how AI supports intake and plan review processes
